BLOOMINGTON- The Fuel will finish out the weekend in Bloomington with the third of four games in a row against the Bison on Sunday afternoon. This will be a make-up game due to a postponement last month due to ice conditions and will act as the weekend tie-breaker before Indy hosts the Bison on Tuesday morning for Education Day.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night where the Fuel claimed an overtime 3-2 victory. Nathan Burke had the game winning goal after Matus Spodniak scored a shorthanded goal early and DJ King had his second goal this weekend. As expected, things got more aggressive between these two teams who still have two more games against each other in the next three days, with a penalty minute total of 38 in last night’s match.
SCORE EARLY
Scoring early has seemed to be important in this series as the team who scores first in both games has won. The Fuel enter this game with a 16-4-3-2 record when scoring first and a 7-2-2-1 record when ending the first period in the lead. Taking an early lead and being aggressive and disciplined early will be key to this game.
