INDIANAPOLIS- After a tough 6-3 loss against the Everblades on Wednesday, the Fuel will regroup for the first game of a three-in-three weekend. Love is in the air on Valentine’s Day as the Fuel looks for X’s not O’s on the scoresheet.
CUPID’S POWER PLAY
With a power play goal by Kyle Maksimovich late in the third period Wednesday, the Fuel have scored a power play goal in nine consecutive games. While they allowed two power play goals against the Everblades Wednesday, the Fuel typically have strong looks on the penalty kill. Bryan Lemos has 12 power play assists, Colin Bilek has 11 power play points, and Nathan Burke has 10 leading the charge.
DISCIPLINED DEFENSE
The Fuel and Everblades have the top two defenses in the league, helping other teams to an average of less than 2.5 goals per game. Both teams are also in the top three for shot suppression, as the Fuel lead the league with a 23.95 average. Both teams will need to rally their goaltender as both teams will pepper the other goaltender if given the offensive chance.
