GAME 42 - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7 VS. WHEELING - 6-3 L

The Fuel hosted the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night. After scoring first in the first period, Wheeling took the 6-3 win with two shorthanded goals in the second frame. 

GAME 43 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8 VS. KANSAS CITY - 4-3 OTW

The Fuel hosted the Kansas City Mavericks for Wizard Night on Saturday. In front of a sold out crowd of 6,564 fans, Indy collected 7,896 socks to donate to homeless shelters around the city. After ending regulation tied 2-2, the Fuel claimed the 3-2 win after a Kyle Maksimovich overtime power play goal.

• Ben Gaudreau recalled by Rockford – 02/08
• Matus Spodniak returned on loan to Indy – 02/11

OIL DROPS

• Forward Kyle Maksimovich is on a three-game multipoint streak, he netted the first goal and the overtime winner on Saturday.
• Rookie defenseman Adam McCormick in his first game back from injury, assisted Maksimovich’s goal on Friday.
• Also on Friday, Jordan Martin and Darby Llewellyn netted their fourth shorthanded point each. 
• With two power play assists Saturday, Bryan Lemos leads the team in power play assists with 11.

TEAM NOTES

• The Fuel was 3/9 on the power play over the weekend. The goals were scored by Maksimovich, Lombardi and Bilek.
• When scoring first the Fuel are 14-3-2-2, with a winning percentage of 76.2%
• The Fuel’s goal differential in the third period is +6, making it their strongest scoring period.
