TOLEDO- The Fuel head to Toledo to kick off the playoff series against the Walleye on the road. In the regular season, the Fuel were 2-1-1-0 against Toledo.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last week in the final regular season game of the season. After taking an early lead, the Fuel swapped leads with the Walleye a few times before forcing overtime with a late-game goal by Owen Robinson. Mitchell Lewandowski netted his second goal of the game to secure the win for Toledo in overtime.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Toledo Walleye finished the regular season 44-17-9-2 and in first place in the Central division. They were second overall in the Western Conference behind the Kansas City Mavericks who ended 49-18-4-1. Toledo’s Brandon Hawkins did lead the league in points with 89 this season.
