INDIANAPOLIS- The 2025-2026 ECHL season is upon us and to kick things off, the Indy Fuel will host a preseason game against the Bloomington Bison as both teams have brought in some fresh faces in the offseason. The last time these two teams played each other was April 9, 2025 in a rescheduled Education Day Game. The Fuel won 5-1 and helped eliminate the Bison from playoff contention.
SAME FACE, NEW COLORS
The Fuel acquired some strong forwards from other divisional teams over the offseason. Most notably, Sahil Panwar, who played fifteen games for the Bloomington Bison last season while on an American Hockey League (AHL) contract with the Chicago Wolves. Additionally, Dustin Manz joined the Fuel from Bloomington. Some other key acquisitions were Lee Lapid, who has moved around the Central division the last few seasons but was with the Kalamazoo Wings to end the 2024-25 season, and Holden Wale from Rapid City.
ROOKIE MANIA
New, fresh faces are set to join the red and black this season, with just eleven returners from last season's Fuel roster at camp. These rookies are eager to play their first professional hockey game and win for the Fuel. Look out for new playing styles, jersey tucks and on-ice personality. Both teams have strong rookie talent that will play a huge part in the entire season.
