FISHERS- The Fuel will host the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday night to start their weekend after Thanksgiving. The Komets currently sit in first place in the Central division, with the Walleye and Fuel chasing close behind. With four points on the table against them this weekend, Indy will make the leap for first place.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on October 17 for the Fuel’s season opener. The Fuel fell 4-0 to Fort Wayne in that matchup. The Fuel racked up 33 penalty minutes, which is still a season high for them. The Komets had four different goal scorers that game, including Blake Murray, who opened the scoring with a power play goal.
GRAVY BOAT
Matt Petgrave currently leads Fuel defensemen in points with eight assists. He is also tied with Christian Berger for most shots on goal among defensemen with 21. He is the only Fuel defenseman to have played in every game so far this season for Indy.
FLO STATE
Goaltender Owen Flores has been stellar in net for the Fuel so far this season. He has recorded two shutouts and five wins in ten games played so far this season. With a save percentage of .916, he has faced 261 shots and allowed only 22 goals. He will be imperative for the Fuel, looking to collect some wins this weekend.
