FISHERS- The Fuel will travel to Fort Wayne to take on the Komets on Friday night. This will be the first of two games in a row against the Komets, as they will travel back upstate for a matchup on December 26 before heading to Wheeling the following day.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on November 28 when the Komets came to Indy and defeated the Fuel in a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory. With four power play goals and a shorthanded goal in that game, special teams proved to be very important for the two Indiana teams.
HEATED RIVALRY
The Komets and the Fuel are very familiar with each other, playing just about two hours away and forming a strong rivalry since Indy joined the ECHL. The Fuel are 51-52-12-8 against Fort Wayne all-time and are chasing them in the standings currently as Fort Wayne leads the Central division with 34 points.
