RAPID CITY- The Fuel will face off with the Rapid City Rush one more time on Sunday to end their weekend on the road. After dropping the first two matches in this three-game set, Indy looks to bounce back with a win to close out the weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams played was last night when the Rush defeated the Fuel, 4-2. Once again, Indy heavily outshot Rapid City, 46-25 but they could not outscore the home team. Matt Petgrave and Eric Martin had the two goals for Indy while Rapid City’s Blake Bennett had two goals, Rasmus Ekström had one, and Brett Davis closed out the game with an empty net goal.
JANUARY FORECAST
After this game, the Fuel will face seven Central division opponents in the remainder of January. With two games against Kalamazoo, Bloomington, and Fort Wayne each, Indy has a lot of opportunity to gain points in the standings even with the All-Star break approaching soon. The Fuel will close out January with a game against the Iowa Heartlanders who they have only seen one time so far this season.
