KALAMAZOO- The Fuel will finish out their weekend in Kalamazoo on Saturday afternoon before heading back to Indy to host them for an early Tuesday morning game. After falling 4-3 in overtime last night, Indy hopes to bounce back against the K-Wings today.
LAST TIME OU
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel fell 4-3 in overtime. Indy went up first with a goal by Lee Lapid. Kalamazoo scored three straight goals before Ryan Gagnier and Terry Broadhurst put on the pressure in the third period and tied it up, forcing overtime. Zach Okabe scored the game winner for Kalamazoo.
SATURDAY IN THE ZOO
So far this season, the Fuel have struggled on Saturday, going 4-8-2-1 overall and 2-2-0-0 on the road on Saturdays. However, they do have a winning record in games following overtime losses. On the road, they have gone 2-1-0-0 after bouncing back from an OT loss.
IN THE STANDINGS
Indy enters this game in fourth place in the Central division with 52 points. They closely trail the Bloomington Bison with 54 points, while Kalamazoo is chasing them from fifth place with 48 points. Fort Wayne and Toledo have pulled a bit away from the pack with 64 and 61 points respectively, but they are not out of reach for this competitive Central division.
