FISHERS- The Fuel will host the Kalamazoo Wings on Tuesday morning for the Fuel’s annual Education Day game. After back-to-back overtime losses to the K-Wings, the Fuel will look for a win on home ice in front of thousands of school children.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on Saturday when the Fuel fell to the K-Wings 4-3 in overtime for the second night in a row. Just like on Friday, Lee Lapid opened the scoring. Michael Marchesan and Tyler Paquette also scored for the Fuel but it was not enough as Kalamazoo's Ryan Cox scored a late game-tying goal and the overtime game winner.
GET SCHOOLED
The Fuel enter this game with a 4-2-0-0 record when hosting teams for Education Day games. This is a good sign, despite their struggle to defeat the K-Wings over the weekend. They will look to score early and close out the game in regulation rather than allowing another game to go to overtime.
