FISHERS- The Fuel will take on the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday night before heading to Kalamazoo on Saturday and then finishing the weekend in Fort Wayne. A weekend full of divisional opponents will be important for Indy as they look to hold a playoff spot in the standings.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on Valentine’s Day when the Komets visited Indy and defeated the Fuel, 4-1. Terry Broadhurst was the lone goal scorer for the Fuel in that matchup, while Blake Murray, Kirill Tyutyayev, Matt Copponi, and Anthony Petruzzelli scored for the Komets.
SCOUTING REPORT
Austin Magera leads the Komets in points with 47 and goals with 24. Alex Aleardi, who typically plays well against the Fuel, follows closely behind him with twenty goals and twenty assists. Fort Wayne’s defensive core is also highly capable of scoring, making them an even more threatening team and keeping them high in the Central division standings.
