FORT WAYNE- The Fuel will play Fort Wayne for the second night in a row in Game 2 of the first round of the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs. After a shutout loss last night, Indy will look to bounce back and even the series score before bringing it home for a set of weeknight games.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel took a 3-0 loss despite a good appearance by Mitchell Weeks in net for Indy. The Komets scored a shorthanded goal, a power play goal, and one even strength goal to show their versatility and ability to play the puck at any strength.
CHARGE FORWARD
Despite close back-to-back games in the same place, Indy will have to wipe the slate clean going into Saturday’s matchup. While there were not a lot of penalties in the first meeting, this cross-state rivalry brings feistiness out of both teams and the Fuel can not let that linger as offering up power play chances to Fort Wayne can be deadly.
