FISHERS- The Fuel will host the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night to close out the home regular season before a five game road trip. Indy will look for two points over a close division rival before their playoff fate will be determined on the road.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on March 14, when the Fuel visited Kalamazoo and claimed a 3-2 victory in regulation. Lee Lapid scored in the first period, Tyler Paquette scored in the second period, and Dustin Manz scored Indy’s game winner in the third period with less than five minutes to go to seal the win.
STANDINGS SHAKE UP
With six inter-division games this weekend and three other out-of-division matchups, the Central division standings race has never been closer. While Toledo and Fort Wayne have already clinched the playoffs, the third through sixth seeds are all within five points of each other. Anything could happen by the end of the weekend, so a regulation win for Indy is imperative.
