CORALVILLE- The Fuel will face off with the Iowa Heartlanders for the second night in a row on Saturday evening. After defeating them last night and picking up a much needed win in the standings, Indy rolls on tonight.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel came from behind to defeat the Heartlanders, 2-1 in regulation. With no scoring in the first period and very few penalties throughout the game, it wasn’t until late in the second period when Iowa capitalized on a power play chance to score. Matt Petgrave tied it up for Indy early in the third, then Cody Laskosky scored on a power play for Indy to take the win.
AROUND THE HORN
The Fuel claimed a third place spot in the standings again after a regulation win, but they are still tied with Cincinnati, each team with 74 points and 68 games played. Kalamazoo still sits right behind them with 72 points while Bloomington has 71. Toledo takes on Cincinnati this afternoon, while Fort Wayne plays the K-Wings. Just like last night, a lot will be up in the air in the Central division and a win will massively help Indy.
