FISHERS- The Indy Fuel announced on Thursday that they have traded the rights to forward Sahil Panwar to the Cincinnati Cyclones for defenseman Aaron Bohlinger, who has signed with Indy for the 2026-27 season.
Bohlinger, 26, joins the Fuel from the Cyclones, where he was +5 with 22 points last season in Cincy. He is a 5’9 right-handed shot from Newburgh, New York.
Prior to his professional debut last year, he played one season at Quinnipiac University where he was +11 and had fourteen points in 32 games. He helped the team to an ECAC regular season championship.
He captained the UMass team during the 2023-24 season after three additional seasons with them. Bohlinger made the NCAA All-Academic Team all four years, as well as helping them to two Hockey East championships in his first two years.
He became an NCAA Championship winner during the 2020-21 campaign as well, scoring the opening goal of the 2021 National Championship game against St. Cloud State.
Bohlinger also has experience with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL, and the Philadelphia Rebels of the NAHL, where he played with former Fuel fan favorite Andrew Bellant.
