FISHERS – The Fuel announced Thursday that they have signed defenseman Mike Brown and forward Dean Loukus to standard player contracts for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Both players join Indy after spending last season with the South Carolina Stingrays.
MIKE BROWN
Brown, 25, joins the Fuel after making his professional debut with South Carolina late in the 2025-26 season. The left-handed defenseman appeared in nine games for the Stingrays, recording one assist.
Before turning pro, the Belmont, Massachusetts native played four seasons of NCAA Division I hockey between Merrimack College and Lake Superior State University. Brown played his final two collegiate seasons at Lake Superior State, appearing in 63 games for the Lakers.

DEAN LOUKUS
Loukus, 23, joins Indy after spending the first two seasons of his professional career with South Carolina. The forward appeared in 67 games during the 2025-26 season, recording nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points. He added two points in 11 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
Before joining the professional ranks, the Calumet, Michigan native played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Saginaw Spirit and Mississauga Steelheads. Loukus recorded 155 points in 194 career OHL games.
