FISHERS- The Fuel have announced on Thursday that they have signed forward Josh Nixon to a standard player contract for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Nixon, 26, joins the team after one season with the Guilford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). There, he tallied 19 points in 46 games and helped them to the playoffs.
During the 2024-25 season, he played four games for the Maine Mariners after graduating from Union College. He was an alternate captain there in his third and final season. In 106 games at Union College, Nixon had 66 points.
Prior to that, the Mississauga, Ontario native played one season for Lake Superior State University, where he had 20 points in 37 games. The 5’9, right-handed forward has experience in the NAHL, USHL, and OJHL as well, helping the Oakville Blades to an OJHL championship in 2019. During that playoff run, Nixon had 16 points in 19 games.
