INDY FUEL WEEK 15 RESULTS: 1-1-0-1, 20-18-2-1 Overall, 4th Central Division
Friday, January 18 - Fuel 3 at Fort Wayne 2 (OT):Matt Rupert's goal 2:08 into overtime helped the Fuel start the weekend with two important points and a 3-2 road victory over the Komets at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Matt and twin brother Ryan combined for two goals and three assists, while Logan Nelson chipped in a goal to help Indy rally from a 1-0 deficit in the third period. Fort Wayne forced the contest beyond regulation when Brady Shaw found the net with 15 seconds left in the third period to tie the game at two. Fuel goaltender Matt Tomkins was brilliant between the pipes, turning aside 36 of 38 shots for the win.
Saturday, January 19 - Fuel 3 vs. Cincinnati 4 (SO): The Fuel rebounded from an early deficit to earn a point, but Cincinnati left Indianapolis with a 4-3 victory in the shootout. Mike Marnell potted the only goal in the breakaway competition, handing Indy its first shootout loss of the season. Matt Rupert, Ryan Rupert and Logan Nelson each logged a goal and an assist in regulation, helping Indy rally from a 3-1 first-period hole.
Sunday, January 20 - Fuel 2 at Cincinnati 4: Cincinnati completed a two-game sweep of Indy with a 4-2 victory Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Arena. The Cyclones built a 2-0 lead in the first period, before tacking a goal in the second and third to keep the Fuel at bay. Josh Shalla tallied a pair of power play goals for Indy, which fell to 0-2 this season at U.S. Bank Arena.

Saturday, January 26 - Fuel vs. Kalamazoo (7:35 p.m. ET, Indiana Farmers Coliseum)
HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER presented by Community Health Network: The Fuel will support cancer fighters and survivors, in conjunction with CHN's "The Giving Gig". Make sure to grab an "I Fight For" card on your way into the game to be part of a in-game tribute.
Sunday, January 13 - Fuel at Kalamazoo (3:00 p.m. ET, Wings Event Center)
The Fuel finish another three-in-three weekend with a trip to Wings Event Center to take on the Wings. Indy enters the weekend with a 4-1-0-0 record against Kalamazoo this season, winning two of the first three meetings taking place in Michigan.
OIL DROPS:
-The Fuel registered three of a possible six points in Week 15, and have picked up points in five of their last seven games (2-2-2-1).
-Four of the Fuel's previous six games have been decided in overtime or a shootout, including three consecutive contests from Jan. 13-19. Indy has a 1-0-2-1 mark in those four games.
-Prior to the club's overtime loss to Fort Wayne on Jan. 11, Indy had only played beyond regulation three times over its first 35 games this season.
-Overall this season the Fuel are 3-2 in games ending in overtime, and 1-1 in shootout situations.
-The Fuel power play is 4-for-10 over their last two games, scoring twice on Saturday against the Cyclones before adding two more power play goals in Sunday's rematch in Cincinnati.
-Indy was a perfect 13-for-13 on the penalty kill in Week 15, and has been successful in 41 of the team's last 43 shorthanded situations dating back to Jan. 4.
-The Fuel penalty kill is now tied for the ECHL lead with the Newfoundland Growlers at 86.2%.
-The forward unit of Matt Rupert (2g, 3a), Ryan Rupert (2g, 2a), and Logan Nelson (2g, 2a) combined for 13 points over Indy's last three games, factoring in seven of the Fuel's eight goals during the week.
-Logan Nelson has registered points in five straight games, a streak that started with goals in four consecutive contests from Jan. 12-19.
-With two goals in Cincinnati on Sunday, Josh Shalla recorded his team-leading 10th multi-point game of the season.
-Goaltender Matt Tomkins is undefeated in regulation through his last five starts, posting a 2-0-3 record alongside a 2.73 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.
