INDY FUEL WEEK 11 RESULTS: 3-1-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 25-10-1-0 Overall (1st Central)

GAME 33 - WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11 VS IOWA - 3-1 W

After playing three matches in Iowa, the Fuel hosted the Heartlanders for the fourth and final game in a row versus their divisional opponent. Indy was able to take the win 3-1 after a dominant second period where they scored two goals.

GAME 34 - FRIDAY, JANUARY 13 AT CINCINNATI - 3-1 L

The Fuel headed to Cincinnati to start their weekend where they hoped to find their first win in Cincy this year but despite scoring first they fell to the Cyclones, 3-1. Seamus Malone scored the lone goal for the Fuel in the first period.

GAME 35 - SATURDAY, JANUARY 14 VS KALAMAZOO - 3-2 W

The Fuel hosted the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night in front of a sold out crowd of 6,559 people for Star Wars night, beating their franchise attendance record of 6,551 set just two weeks prior. In their attempt to bounce back after a loss to Cincinnati on Friday, the Fuel won 3-2 after a scoreless third period.

GAME 36 - SUNDAY, JANUARY 15 AT FORT WAYNE - 6-5 OTW

Coming off a home win vs Kalamazoo the previous night, the Indy Fuel made the trip to Fort Wayne for the final of three games in three days, their fourth game in five days. Despite trailing the Komets the majority of the game, the Fuel came back to force the game into overtime and in the end took a 6-5 victory over their divisional opponent.

ROSTER MOVES 

• Chad Yetman was reassigned to Indy from the AHL’s Belleville Senators on 1/15.
• Chase Lang was placed in reserve on 1/14.
• Reid Yochim was signed on 1/14 and released 1/17.
• Cam Bakker was placed on injured reserve, effective 1/8.

OIL DROPS 

• Andrew Bellant scored the teams tenth shorthanded goal of the season on Saturday night, that leads the league.
• With 14 wins on the season, goaltender Zach Driscoll is tied for third in most wins in the league this season.
• In Monday’s ECHL All-Star Classic, Indy’s Seamus Malone captained the Western Conference team as well as scoring a goal for them. 
• Alex Wideman leads the Fuel in points with 40 in 36 games.
• Chad Yetman returned to the Fuel this weekend and extended his point streak to 12 games with Indy.
• Yetman also set a new Fuel franchise record with seven consecutive games with a goal.
• Goaltender Cam Gray saw his first overtime game and got his first overtime win against Fort Wayne on Sunday.

TEAM NOTES

• The Fuel set a new franchise attendance record of 6,559 people on Saturday night.
• Indy is 3-1 when going to overtime which has earned them seven points.
• The Fuel’s game against Fort Wayne on Sunday was only the second time this season that the Fuel won when being down after two periods.
• The Fuel take, but also allow the most shots during the third period. At the halfway point of the season, Indy has taken 351 shots in the third period and allowed 377.
• All four teams with the highest even-strength goal differential lead their division. This includes the Fuel who currently lead the Central division.
• The Fuel rank fifth in the league in goals for with 136. The Idaho Steelheads lead that category with 145.
