INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will host the Toledo Walleye on Tuesday night for the fourth game of the Central division semifinal round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. After two losses in Toledo, the Fuel returned home last night and fell to the Walleye, 5-3. They face elimination in tonight’s matchup.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel lost 5-3 to the Walleye. Bryan Lemos opened the scoring for the game which gave the Fuel their first lead of the series. Kevin Lombardi added two power play goals, but it was not enough as Toledo had a strong second period and added two power play goals of their own.
SECOND PERIOD STRENGTH
The Fuel and Walleye alike both have had very strong second periods all season long. Last night, Toledo had fifteen shots and four goals in the second frame, while the Fuel had nine and one, respectively. That was still the most shots the Fuel had in that game. If Indy can stay disciplined and prevent scoring chances for Toledo in the second frame, it will be key to winning tonight.
