FORT WAYNE- The Fuel will face the Fort Wayne Komets for the fifth game of the first round of the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fort Wayne leads the series 3-1 after claiming a victory in Indy in game four.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was March 3, when the Komets defeated the Fuel 3-2 in Indy. This was the first game of the series where the home team lost, making the difference as the Fuel will head on the road for game five, needing to stay alive. The two goalscorers in the last game for Indy were Cody Laskosky and Tyler Weiss, with Marcus Joughin claiming two assists.
STAY ALIVE
If the Fuel can claim a road win on Sunday in Fort Wayne, they will force a sixth game in the series and will bring the matchup back home. It will be important to minimize penalties and stay out of the box for Indy as giving up power play goals has been common in this series.
