INDIANAPOLIS- The Indy Fuel will head to Cincinnati for the first time in 2025 and the second time this season to face the Cyclones. Last time out, the Fuel won in a shutout in overtime 1-0.
KEEP THE PENALTY KILL STRONG
The Cyclones score on the power play at home just 8.1% of the time. They have had 37 opportunities with only three power-play goals. On the contrary, the Fuel has dominated on the penalty kill. They are ranked 2nd in the league killing off the penalty 90.1% of the time. They have only allowed 9 power-play goals.
POINTS IN THE STANDINGS
Despite Cincinnati being at the bottom of the central division with just 16 points, the Fuel needs to separate the distance between them and all teams below them in the standings to secure the 4th seed wildcard spot in April. Cincinnati has taken down Iowa, Fort Wayne, and Toledo this year, proving not to be an easy team in the division. Both teams have some of the fewest goals for each game, so it will be a true test of defense and if the offense can muster through strong goaltending.
