INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will host the Kansas City Mavericks for their first and only matchup of the season on Saturday night for Wizard Night.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was February 4, 2023 when the Mavericks defeated Indy 6-3 after the score had been flipped in their meeting the night prior. Alex Wideman opened the scoring for Indy in that last meetup but could not help overcome the Mavericks scoring four goals in the first period.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Kansas City Mavericks come into this game leading the Mountain division with 60 points and a 28-11-3-1 record. They are in second place in the Western conference, only to the Toledo Walleye. They are currently on a six-game win streak and have won eight of their last ten games. Cade Borchardt, who scored in last night’s win over Cincinnati, leads the Mavericks in goals and points with 26 and 48 respectively.
