GLENS FALLS- After a thrilling four-round shootout Wednesday night. The Fuel looks to continue their four-game winning streak and their push for the playoffs against the Adirondack Thunder on Friday night.
FIRST LINE MAGIC
Kyle Maksimovich netted both of the regulation goals on Wednesday. He started off the scoring halfway through the first period, then evened it up with less than two minutes to go in regulation. The assist by Bryan Lemos on the first goal puts him five assists away from tying Alex Wideman’s all-time franchise assist record of 123. While people count for the Great 8, the Indy Fuel watches their Great 16.
ROAD SPECIAL TEAMS
Despite allowing a power play goal on Wednesday, the Fuel is still first in the league in road penalty killing with a kill rate of 91.9%. Allowing just nine goals and 111 shots on the road, the Fuel’s road power play is ranked ninth in the league with a success rate of 20.4%. Capitalizing on special teams will be necessary for the chance to make it to the playoffs.
