INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will spend their Saturday night in Cincinnati to take on the Cyclones before returning home on Sunday to face the Fort Wayne Komets to end their weekend. With the playoffs getting closer, these big in-division matches will be important to all teams in the hunt.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on February 16 when Indy visited the Cyclones and shut them out 2-0. Nathan Burke opened the scoring in the first period with a goal assisted by Cam Hausinger while Colin Bilek secured the win for them with a goal early in the third period. The Cyclones outshot Indy 21-18 but the Fuel prevailed.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Cyclones, like the Fuel, are in contention for that fourth place spot in the Central division. While it appears they are at the bottom of the standings, the bottom four teams are all separated by just one point each, meaning anything can happen every game. Relying on their top scorer Lincoln Griffin, with 21 goals and 21 assists, as well as Pavel Cajan in net who boasts a .906 save percentage through 25 games in net, Cincinnati can easily climb the standings quickly.
