KALAMAZOO- The Fuel will spend their Saturday in Kalamazoo as they take on the K-Wings just a day after meeting the at home. While the Fuel have clinched the playoffs, extinguishing Bloomington and Kalamazoo’s chances in back-to-back games, they will look to keep their momentum going this weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel came back to force overtime, earning them the point they needed to clinch the last playoff spot in the Central division. Indy ultimately fell to Kalamazoo 5-4 in a two round shootout. They meet again on Saturday despite their fate being sealed for the season.
BACK TO BACK
While things stayed relatively calm last night with just sixteen total penalty minutes between the two teams and no fighting majors, things did get chippy between the two Central division foes. In back-to-back games, the Fuel will have to rely on their discipline to stay out of the box and keep the gloves on as the intensity from last night’s shootout will spill over onto Kalamazoo’s ice tonight.
